ArmInfo.Avetis Avagyan, a member of Levon Ter- Petrosyan's Armenian National Congress (ANC) party, reports that the residence of Armenia's first president has been without power for the second day.
"Starting at 1:00 PM on March 15th of this year, the power supply to the private residence and office of the first President of the Republic of Armenia, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, was cut off. Naturally, the water supply was also disrupted. Security personnel reportedly made dozens of calls to "Electric Networks of Armenia," only to be repeatedly told that the power would be back "in an hour." Several dozen "in an hour" calls passed, but nothing changed. Meanwhile, almost all the houses and buildings around the private residence are fully powered," Avagyan noted.
At the same time, the politician is certain that the power to the first president of Armenia was cut off on the orders of a representative of the highest echelons of power. "Electric Networks of Armenia would not have dared to resort to such a vile act without an order. Also, to this day, the power and water supply to the president's private residence and office have not been restored. This is not just an ordinary accident, but rather an expression of continuous sadism towards the first president and his family," Avagyan concluded.
It is worth noting that earlier, Armenia's first president, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, criticized the authorities and expressed support for Samvel Karapetyan, a Russian-Armenian businessman and the leader of the "Strong Armenia" political party.
