ArmInfo. The Armenian National Congress (ANC) is ready to consolidate with the "Strong Armenia" party and other political forces, s бtated by Levon Zurabyan, the Armenian National Congress (ANC) candidate for Prime Minister, speaking at the party's 5th Congress.
Zurabyan read out the party's draft resolution, which includes seven key points, emphasizing that their implementation is only possible through consolidation with rational and truly active political forces in the country.
1. Infrastructure as peace: According to Zurabyan, Armenia must overcome its status as a landlocked country with unfavorable economic conditions, becoming a strategic transit hub between West and East, North and South. "The implementation of our proposed TRIPP+BRICS project will not only establish sustainable peace but also ensure accelerated socioeconomic development in Armenia," the politician noted.
2. Strategic sovereignty: Zurabyan emphasized that the key issues today remain the security of citizens, the preservation of the state and national identity, the protection and development of centuries-old cultural values, and the assurance of sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the inviolability of borders. According to him, these objectives should be a foreign policy priority. The deputy head of the ANC also noted the need to protect the collective right of Artsakh Armenians to return to their historical homeland. Given that such a return is impossible under the sovereignty of authoritarian Azerbaijan, the state must now focus on protecting the property and other rights of the residents of Artsakh through international courts and facilitating their socioeconomic integration.
3. The "Neutral Bridge" policy: Zurabyan stated that Armenia should not take sides in the global confrontation between West and East, becoming anyone's satellite. "The only path to survival is the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas. Maintaining neutrality in the confrontation between the West and Russia, positioning Armenia as a bridge of cooperation for all interested parties," he emphasized. The politician added that the country can simultaneously build trusting relationships with Russia, the United States, Europe, Iran, India, and China, provided it has a truly independent foreign policy. This will allow it to more effectively resolve existing issues with Azerbaijan and Turkey from a stronger position.
4. Technological leap: Zurabyan noted the need for large-scale public investment in the high-tech sector, highlighting key areas: artificial intelligence, biotechnology, alternative energy, organic and ecological agriculture, fintech, and the crypto industry.
5. Inclusive economics: To foster free and fair competition and cooperation, build an inclusive economy that will not provide benefits to those close to power or create obstacles for political opponents, and eliminate monopolies.
6. Constitutional reform: To restore the semi-presidential constitutional model of governance and eliminate the possibility of changes to this system. "This is necessary for effective security protection," he emphasized.
7. Democratic strengthening: To strengthen democracy and ensure social consolidation, release political prisoners, and guarantee all public freedoms.
Recall, the next parliamentary elections in Armenia will be held on June 7, 2026.
