


ArmInfo.In Bern, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Vice-President of the Swiss Confederation and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs Ignazio Cassis. The meeting took place at the official reception house of the Federal Council in the historic center of Bern, where they had a working lunch.
According to the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the interlocutors noted with satisfaction the dynamic development of political dialogue between Armenia and Switzerland and their readiness to further develop their partnership in various areas. In this context, the importance of the Armenian government's decision to open an embassy in Bern was emphasized as a significant political impetus for expanding and enriching the bilateral agenda.
Mirzoyan and Cassis exchanged views on developments in the South Caucasus and the Middle East. The Armenian Foreign Minister presented steps aimed at further institutionalizing the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Mirzoyan praised Switzerland's support in the ongoing strengthening of democratic institutions in Armenia, as well as in addressing humanitarian issues and meeting the needs of refugees displaced from Nagorno- Karabakh.
The Armenian and Swiss foreign ministers exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
