


ArmInfo. Armenian Ambassador to France Arman Khachatryan participated in the opening ceremony of the chapel of the Armenian Catholic Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Paris.
According to the press service of the Armenian Embassy in France, the restoration work on the chapel was carried out by the Paris Municipality as part of the program for the restoration of religious buildings in Paris, with the support of philanthropists.
The Primate of the French Diocese of the Armenian Catholic Church, Bishop Yeghia Yeghiaian, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo, Ariel Weil, Governor of the Paris-Centre Administrative District, and philanthropist Ara Aharonian were also in attendance and delivered speeches at the event. The event also featured a concert showcasing Armenian folk music.
The Church of the Holy Cross is the cathedral of the Diocese of the Holy Cross in Paris of the Armenian Catholic Church. It was built between the 13th and 15th centuries.
