


ArmInfo. The State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia has prevented the import of 10,700 packs of contraband cigarettes into the country.
According to reports, a truck driven by an Iranian citizen recently entered the Agarak customs checkpoint. After examining images obtained by an X-ray inspection device, customs officers suspected the truck was transporting a large consignment of tobacco products. During an oral interrogation, the driver denied having any goods concealed from customs control or subject to declaration.
Following a customs inspection, 10,760 undeclared boxes of tobacco products with various markings were discovered in the cargo compartment of the semi-trailer. In accordance with Article 316 of the Customs Regulation Law, a report was drawn up against Iranian citizen M.A. for violating customs regulations. The case materials have been sent for further investigation.
