The Foreign Ministry's statement says that the Armenian Embassy in Tehran continues to operate in emergency mode. "With the support of the Embassy, a second Armenian citizen returned to Armenia on March 9. The Armenian Embassy in Iran is receiving an average of 20-25 calls daily, primarily regarding Armenian-Iranian border crossing. Border crossings from Iran to Armenia and from Armenia to Iran are operational in their usual mode," the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.
It is noted that due to communication restrictions, the Armenian Embassy in Iran continues to assist in conveying information about Armenians there to their relatives. Foreign nationals continue to contact the embassy for information on entry into the Republic of Armenia. They are provided with the necessary clarifications and directions. "There is no information regarding any fatalities among Armenian citizens killed as a result of the events in Iran," the ministry added.
In conclusion, the Armenian Foreign Ministry stated that the Armenian embassy continues to provide necessary assistance to diplomats from various diplomatic missions accredited in Iran and their families in facilitating their return to their respective countries via Armenia.
