ArmInfo.A poll by the research and consulting company Empirica shows that Strong Armenia Party Chairman Samvel Karapetyan holds an advantage over Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for June 7, 2026.
Legal expert and Strong Armenia Party member Gohar Meloyan posted the results on his Facebook page. "The survey shows that Karapetyan has an 18% lead among young people aged 18-29 and a 4% lead among those aged 30-49. Forty-nine percent of respondents in Yerevan chose Karapetyan, while only 24% chose Pashinyan. If parliamentary elections were held now, 35% of voters in Yerevan would vote for the Strong Armenia party, while 34% would vote for Pashinyan," Meloyan added.
She also noted that the party's election campaign will only begin in May, and they were essentially able to achieve these results despite the authorities manipulating Karapetyan's name.
"I consider youth trust to be especially important. Samvel Karapetyan enjoys significantly higher trust, even among young people," Meloyan concluded. As a reminder, on February 12, at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex, Samvel Karapetyan, chairman of the political party and businessman and head of the Tashir Group of Companies, was unanimously elected as the Strong Armenia Party's candidate for prime minister.
