
ArmInfo. In 2025, the Investigative Committee (IC) of Armenia investigated 2,398 criminal cases of domestic violence (2,207 in 2024), of which 630 were transferred from 2024 onwards.
During the reporting period, 380 criminal cases were referred to the court with charges brought against 388 persons (in 2024: 405 criminal cases against 416 persons), another 7 cases of compulsory treatment were referred to the court with a final act (in 2024 - 4), 972 cases were terminated (in 2024 - 735), of which 887 were on the grounds of rehabilitation (in 2024 - 663), and 85 - on a non-rehabilitation basis (in 2024 - 72), 284 cases were consolidated (in 2024 - 235), 32 criminal cases were transferred to another body (in 2024 - 28), 93 cases were registered as having completed procedural and evidentiary actions (in 2024 - 232), 630 were postponed to 2026 (568 in 2025).
Of the 375 cases sent to court, 3 were investigated for murder, 1 for attempted murder, 1 for murder committed by the mother, 4 for causing grievous bodily harm, 10 for causing moderate bodily harm, 39 for causing minor bodily harm, 1 for kidnapping, 4 for unlawful deprivation of liberty, 20 for mental violence, 211 for physical violence, 10 for sexual violence, 1 for involving a child in antisocial acts, 1 for obstructing visits between a parent or other close relative and a child, 1 for failure to fulfill or improper fulfillment of responsibilities for the upbringing or care of a child, 8 for evasion of alimony payments, 8 for failure to comply with a decision on urgent intervention or protective orders, and 52 for other crimes.
Of the 417 victims brought to trial, 25 were under 12 years old, 16 were 13-14 years old, 11 were 15-18 years old, and 365 were over 18.
