


ArmInfo.By the decision of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the Armenian delegation will participate in meetings organized by the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity in Montreal from March 9-11. The focus of these meetings will be on developing priorities for the COP17 Presidency and preparatory work.
According to Hambardzum Matevosyan, the Environment Minister of Armenia, key aspects of organizing and preparing for COP17 in Armenia will be discussed during the three-day meetings. Specifically, a working meeting is planned to address logistical and organizational issues of the summit, including event organization, technical support for sessions, logistical processes, and information dissemination. "These discussions are an important step towards effective preparation for the Conference of the Parties (COP17) and provide an opportunity to coordinate our approaches with international partners to ensure the high-level organization of the Summit.
This is also an important platform for gaining new knowledge and experience, strengthening cooperation with the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity and representatives of partner countries, and ensuring more effective participation in the official sessions of the Summit," the Environment Minister stated on his Facebook page.
Recall, the event is scheduled for the fall of this year.
