Diya said that the House of Russian Culture was founded in Nabatieh in 2004 and occupied the first floor of a five-story building. It served as a social and cultural hub for Russian university graduates and compatriots across the southern region. "Russian language courses were offered, and children studied music, dance, and drawing. We had a hall where gala evenings of Russian-Lebanese friendship and concerts were held," Diya noted.
During the 2024 conflict, the premises sustained material damage. According to the director, the repairs were delayed to prioritize assistance for families affected by Israeli aggression. "The renovation has recently been completed, and everyone was happy," he noted.
