


ArmInfo. The detention of lawyer Ruben Hakobyan, a member of the Council of the Chamber of Advocates of Armenia, is the focus of the Chamber of Advocates of Armenia, as noted in a statement issued by the press service of the Chamber of Advocates of Armenia.
"The Chamber is in direct contact with Ruben Hakobyan's defense team. The scope of actions for the lawyer's defense and further steps are being discussed," the statement reads.
It is also mentioned that, according to Article 7, Par. 2, of the Law on Advocacy, the duties of the Chamber of Advocates include protecting the rights and legitimate interests of its members in relations with state and local government bodies and organizations, as well as in court.
It should be noted that earlier it became known that lawyer Hakobyan had been detained on suspicion of alleged interference in the administration of justice or the investigation of a case in the Lori region.
