
ArmInfo.Current Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his Civil Contract party would receive the support of only 24% of respondents if elections were held this weekend, according to a poll by the International Republican Institute (IRI).
According to the poll, another 9% of respondents would vote for the Strong Armenia party or Samvel Karapetyan, 3% for the Armenia bloc, the ARF Dashnaktsutyun, and Robert Kocharyan, and 3% for the Prosperous Armenia party and Gagik Tsarukyan. Four more political forces received 1% each. According to the poll, 30% of respondents were unsure or undecided, 9% refused to answer, 8% said they would not participate in the elections, and 5% said they would spoil their ballot. Of those who said they would not participate in the elections, 20% said they did not trust any political force or leader, another 13% said their vote would not decide anything, 12% said they did not trust the electoral process, and 10% said they were not interested in the elections.
When asked which political force they voted for in the snap parliamentary elections on June 20, 2021, 47% of respondents said they voted for Nikol Pashinyan or the Civil Contract Party, 8% for the Armenia bloc or Robert Kocharyan, and 2% for the Republic Party or Aram Sargsyan. Five other political forces received 1% each, 15% of respondents declined to comment, 17% were undecided, 4% spoiled their ballot, and another 2% gave other answers. Of those surveyed, 68% said they voted in the 2021 elections, 31% did not participate, and another 1% refused or were undecided.
The survey was conducted by the International Republican Institute (IRI) Center for Survey Research and BREVIS (represented by IPSC LLC). Data were collected from February 3 to 13, 2026, using computer- aided telephone interviews (CATI). The sample consisted of 1,506 citizens of the Republic of Armenia over the age of 18 and former residents of Nagorno-Karabakh, forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, who currently reside in Armenia (who may or may not be citizens). Citizens who have lived in Armenia for less than six months were not included in the sample. Telephone numbers were selected using random digit dialing (RDD). The survey response rate was 22%. The margin of error does not exceed +2.5 percentage points for the entire sample. The sum of numbers in the graphs may differ from 100 percent due to rounding.
