


ArmInfo.The Yerevan Youth Orchestra, which was in Beirut as part of the Al Bustan Festival, has been evacuated from Lebanon amid tensions in the Middle East, as reported by the Armenian Embassy in Lebanon.
"Amid heightened tensions in the region and events in Lebanon, following consultations with the Lebanese side, a decision was made to return the Yerevan Municipal Youth Orchestra to Armenia early - 87 members, including accompanying personnel. Following discussions between the Embassy and Middle East Airlines, the airline, in response to a request received, decided to organize an additional flight specifically for this purpose," the Armenian Embassy's statement reads.
It was also noted that constant communication was maintained with the Yerevan Municipality. "Citizens wishing to fly from Lebanon during this period were asked to register for flights to Armenia via the embassy's hotline. Ambassador Sarmen Baghdasaryan and embassy diplomats have organized transportation and escort for the ensemble through the combat zones to the airport. The plane has already landed in Yerevan," the embassy added.
