RA NA discussing candidate for healthcare committee chairperson 

ArmInfo. Discussions on the candidacy of Vanik Ohanyan, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Healthcare, began at the plenary session of the National Assembly of Armenia. His candidacy was proposed by the ruling Civil Contract faction.

Vanik Ohanyan is 44 years old. He was born in Vanadzor and graduated  from the Faculty of Dentistry at Yerevan State Medical University.  Ohanyan previously worked in Vanadzor municipal and medical  institutions, managing clinics, teaching at the university, and  founding his own dental clinic.

In 2021, he served as acting head of the Vanadzor community. On  September 3, 2025, he was elected to the National Assembly on the  national list of the Civil Contract party, becoming a member of the  NA Committee on Healthcare. The position of Chair of the Healthcare  Committee remained vacant for approximately a month following the  resignation of Hripsime Hunanyan.
