ArmInfo. Peace has been established in Armenia. With this in mind, we need to move forward and assess reality, as stated by Deputy Defense Minister Arman Sargsyan to reporters in parliament, while commenting on the silence of the Armenian authorities in light of recent events surrounding Iran.
Sargsyan disagreed with the notion that the Armenian leadership is inactive, pointing out that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had called a Security Council meeting to discuss the situation surrounding Iran. "The responsible Armenian authorities are carrying out the necessary work in this direction. Peace has been established in the country, and I would like us to keep this in mind as we move forward and assess reality in light of this," the Deputy Defense Minister noted. He declining to provide further comment on the matter.
It's worth noting that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan called a Security Council meeting to discuss the situation in Iran only 24 hours after the US and Israeli military operation against neighboring Iran began. The Armenian government hasn't yet extended condolences to Iran over the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
