ArmInfo.Events in and around Iran are deeply regrettable, RA Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan told reporters on March 2.
At the same time, she declined to comment on why Armenian government agencies refrained from offering condolences, beyond a rather vague statement from the Security Council meeting. "As far as I know, the Armenian Security Council held a meeting the day before and the day before the events in Iran. There was an official statement, and that's all I can say. I'm not a member of the Security Council, and I can't comment on matters beyond my control and beyond my authority," the minister said, adding that Iran remains a friendly country for Armenia, with which it continues to cooperate in a number of areas. For example, the minister is scheduled to meet with the Iranian ambassador tomorrow. As a reminder, at least 555 people were killed in attacks by the US and Israel in Iran, according to the Iranian Red Crescent. The US and Israel attacked Iran under the pretext of preventing it from developing nuclear weapons. These strikes also killed Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khomeini.
