This was discussed in a telephone conversation between Armenian and Canadian Foreign Ministers Ararat Mirzoyan and Anita Anand, who discussed the situation in the Middle East.
According to the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the interlocutors emphasized the importance of close cooperation during the crisis. Mirzoyan also emphasized the importance of resolving the situation through negotiations and a peaceful settlement.
Earlier, it was reported that Israel, with US support, attacked Iran. Strikes were carried out on government buildings in Tehran. Strikes are also being carried out on civilian infrastructure. Footage of rockets hitting the Armenian Cathedral of Saint Sarkis in Tehran has surfaced online.
An Israeli rocket has reportedly hit an elementary school for girls. More than 70 children were killed and over 100 injured. Rubble clearing continues. In response, Iran launched missile strikes against Israel, as well as American military bases in the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar, and oil depots in Saudi Arabia were also attacked.
