


ArmInfo. On February 27, RA Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan received Rafael Benitez, Director of the Department of Social Rights, Health, and Environment at the Council of Europe's Directorate-General for Human Rights and Rule of Law.
According to the Ministry's press release, the meeting focused on priority areas for developing cooperation with the Council of Europe, as well as the progress and results of joint work. They discussed reforms in the social protection sector, the development of human rights-based policies, and mechanisms for strengthening the protection of the rights of vulnerable groups.
Arsen Torosyan highlighted sectoral priorities, specifically the process of deinstitutionalization, as well as efforts to improve the quality and accessibility of services for people with mental health issues. Rafael Benitez expressed gratitude for the presentation of priorities and current programs, confirming the Council of Europe's readiness to continue cooperation with Armenia in implementing sectoral reforms.
