ArmInfo. The Armenian government is tightening inspection requirements for vehicle gas balloons. The decision was made at a cabinet meeting on February 26.
According to the explanatory note, the inspection and certification process in specialized laboratories will be video recorded, and these recordings will be kept by the laboratory for at least six months. According to the current legislation, owners of vehicles running on compressed gas are required to have their balloons inspected in a laboratory every two years. Gas stations are prohibited from servicing vehicles that have not passed this inspection. The Inspectorate for Urban Development, Technical, and Fire Safety is responsible for overseeing balloon certification.
