On 25 February, the Development Partners' Coordination Meeting on Electoral Support took place in Yerevan, bringing together national authorities, international organizations, and development partners to discuss progress, priorities, and coordinated efforts to strengthen Armenia's electoral processes.
The event opened with welcoming remarks from Vahagn Hovakimyan, Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Armenia, who emphasized the importance of sustained cooperation to ensure credible, transparent, and trustworthy elections. Natia Natsvlishvili, UNDP Resident Representative in Armenia, reaffirmed UNDP's continued commitment to supporting inclusive, accountable, and reform- oriented electoral processes in Armenia.
Opening remarks were also delivered by Arayik Harutyunyan, Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister's Office of the Republic of Armenia, who highlighted the Government's strong engagement in advancing democratic institutions and electoral integrity
The event was organized within the framework of the UNDP "Advancing Reforms for Transparent and Inclusive Management of Electoral Systems in Armenia" project, funded by the European Union, the Government of Germany (GIZ), the Government of Norway (Norad), the Government of Sweden (Sida), the Government of Armenia (CEC), and UN DPPA/EAD. The project is implemented in partnership with the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA), in close coordination with the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Armenia (CEC).
