ArmInfo. Diplomats from the Russian Consulate General in Gyumri took part in a ceremonial formation at the 102nd military base dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day.
According to the press service of the Russian Consulate General in Gyumri, Consul General Igor Titov, speaking to the base's servicemen, emphasized that they have chosen a military profession and are devoting years of their lives to maintaining the country's defense capability-and this is a choice that only real men can make.
"You've absorbed the best qualities from your ancestors, your teachers, and your commanders. From Alexander Nevsky, the ability to think strategically and be true to duty. From Dmitry Donskoy, the desire for unity and selflessness. Many of you are fulfilling your military duty in the SVO. You are fighting for truth, for our security, for historical justice," he noted.
The event included a ceremonial formation of personnel, awards for distinguished service members, and demonstration performances by special forces units.
The base command and guests opened a new dormitory for military personnel. The event concluded with a celebratory concert featuring patriotic songs.
