


ArmInfo. Under the chairmanship of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, a discussion was held n the effective management of confiscated property.
According to the press service of the Armenian government, Justice Minister Srbuhi Galyan provided an overview of existing structures and international obligations. She presented detailed information on international best practices, and proposed further actions. Specifically, it was proposed to establish an asset recovery department within the framework of the Armenia-EU visa liberalization process and compliance with EU requirements, ensure public accountability, create a registry of frozen and confiscated property, etc.
The heads of relevant agencies expressed their comments and suggestions regarding the development of effective mechanisms for managing confiscated property. The Armenian Prime Minister emphasized the importance of targeted management of confiscated property and instructed to work on strengthening its legal and institutional framework.
