


ArmInfo. Armenian athletes Gor Hovakimyan and Yervand Mkrtchyan won gold medals at the Balkan World Athletics Championships in Belgrade, Serbia.
According to the Armenian Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports (MESCS), Hovakimyan achieved a result of 16.66 meters in the triple jump, while Mkrtchyan won gold in the 1500 meters, finishing the distance in 3:42.29 minutes. Another Armenian representative, Razmik Ghazaryan, reached a personal best on the international stage-16.21 meters in the triple jump, meeting the Master of Sport standard. Runners Samvel Gevorgyan, Gor Harutyunyan, Roman Aleksanyan, and Styopa Andreasyan also participated in the championship.
Unfortunately, Levon Aghasyan, who recently won silver at an international tournament in Kazakhstan, missed the championship in Belgrade due to a health issue, as reported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
