


ArmInfo. Russian and Iranian Foreign Ministers Sergey Lavrov and Abbas Araghchi discussed the situation surrounding Iran's nuclear program and the bilateral agenda by telephone, according to a statement on Smolenskaya Square.
"The foreign ministers exchanged views on the current situation surrounding Iran's nuclear program, including taking into account the results of the US-Iran indirect contacts held in Geneva," the statement read.
The telephone conversation took place at the initiative of the Iranian side.
"The Russian side reaffirmed its support for the negotiation process aimed at finding fair political and diplomatic solutions while respecting Iran's legitimate rights, in accordance with the principles of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons," the Russian Foreign Ministry added.
