Pashinyan spoke briefly on the go with Donald Trump and J.D. Vance

ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a brief conversation with US President Donald Trump and US Vice President J.D. Vance before the start of the Board of  Peace meeting in Washington. Footage circulating online shows Pashinyan exchanging words with Trump, and then with Vance. 

Note, Pashinyan and Aliyev are in the United States to participate in  the first meeting of the Board of Peace. The Board of Peace, was   initiated by Donald Trump in January 2026 to resolve the conflict in  the Gaza Strip and is chaired by Trump himself. The key executive  council included Marco Rubio (US Secretary of State), Steve Witkoff  (special envoy), Jared Kushner (Trump's son-in-law), Tony Blair  (former British Prime Minister), Marc Rowan (CEO of Apollo Global  Management), and Ajay Banga (head of the World Bank).

On January 22, at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the leaders of  19 countries (including Armenia and Azerbaijan) signed the Peace  Board Charter for the Gaza. Trump called the organization's creation  a "great legacy" and expressed  hope for achieving peace worldwide,  while US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that more countries  could join the Peace Board. According to him, invitations were  extended to 50 countries, and 35 have responded, including Russia and  Belarus. Currently,   26 countries have confirmed their participation  (Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Albania, Cambodia, and the Republic of  Belarus have joined the Board).
