


ArmInfo. Armenia's Deputy Interior Minister Armen Ghazaryan received representatives of the OSCE/ODIHR Election Needs Assessment Mission. The meeting's agenda included the OSCE observation mission's presence at the upcoming June elections and its needs assessment.
According to the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Senior Election Advisor Ksenia Dashutina was interested in the organization of the electoral process, the exercise of citizens' right to vote, and the preparatory measures carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in this regard.
Ghazaryan noted that the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs bears primary responsibility for the proper compilation and publication of voter lists. He presented the process of compiling voter lists, mentioning the joint work carried out by the Public Police and the Migration and Citizenship Service to update the data, as well as legislative regulations.
The powers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs police in identifying apparent violations in the pre-election and electoral processes and transferring them to the relevant authorities were discussed. The parties emphasized the importance of transparency in the electoral process and full compliance with the requirements set forth in the legislation. They stressed active cooperation and coordinated work in ensuring the publicity and transparency of elections. Other matters of mutual interest were also addressed.
