


ArmInfo. Regular political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Armenia and Lithuania took place in Vilnius. The talks were chaired by Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan and Lithuanian Deputy Foreign Minister Odra Plepyte.
According to the Armenian Foreign Ministry's press service, the parties mutually emphasized the high level of political dialogue between Armenia and Lithuania and discussed a number of issues related to the development of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation. Particular attention was paid to expanding cooperation in the economic, defense, cybersecurity, scientific, educational, and cultural spheres, as well as deepening effective cooperation within international organizations.
The parties touched upon the topic of the Armenia-EU partnership, discussing prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in this area and Lithuania's possible support for Armenia. The continuity and further deepening of cooperation within the Armenia-Nordic and Baltic countries format were emphasized. The discussion focused on the 8th European Political Community Summit and the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), which will be held in Armenia in 2026.
A number of regional and international issues were also exchanged. Kostanyan briefed his interlocutor on the processes taking place in the South Caucasus since the Washington Accords, including recent developments in the context of unlocking regional infrastructure.
