


ArmInfo. Armenian Ambassador to Thailand Vahe Gevorgyan (residence in Beijing) presented his credentials to King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua of Thailand.
According to the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, during the ceremony held at the Royal Palace in Bangkok, Gevorgyan emphasized his readiness to make every effort to strengthen the friendship between the two peoples.
The King of Thailand congratulated the Armenian Ambassador on his assumption of office and wished him success in his mission.
The King of Thailand noted that warm and constructive ties between the two countries are an important foundation for deepening bilateral cooperation and also contribute to initiatives to develop regional and global cooperation. Following the presentation of his credentials, Gevorgyan held a separate meeting with Thai Foreign Minister Sikhasak Phuangkeow, during which they discussed bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
The Armenian Ambassador presented the priorities of Armenia's chairmanship of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), which will be held in Armenia this October, and thanked Thailand for its active cooperation at COP17.
