


ArmInfo. Ambassador Arman Khachatryan, representative of the Prime Minister of Armenia to the Permanent Council of La Francophonie, participated in the 257th session of the Political Commission of the International Organization of La Francophonie.
According to the press service of the French Embassy in Armenia, Khachatryan addressed the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan in his speech, reaffirming Armenia's commitment to establishing sustainable peace in the South Caucasus. The Armenian diplomat presented the progress of the TRIPP (Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity) project within the framework of the agreements reached in Washington. Khachatryan also noted that Armenia is actively preparing for the 10th Francophonie Sports and Cultural Games, scheduled to take place in Yerevan in 2027, and reiterated Armenia's willingness to continue close cooperation with the relevant IOC bodies. He called on IOC member states to complete the registration process.
Regarding the parliamentary elections in June, the Armenian Ambassador emphasized the Armenian government's commitment to ensuring free, fair, and transparent elections in line with international standards. He also highlighted the importance of the presence of the International Organization of La Francophonie's observation mission.
