


ArmInfo.As of 9:00 AM on February 11, all interstate and national roads in Armenia are open to traffic. Road maintenance organizations continue clearing and treating roads with salt and sand, according to the Roads Department of the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure.
However, the Department notes that due to adverse weather conditions, heavy snowfall, poor visibility, and road safety concerns, roads are periodically closed. Specifically, sections of the Tigranashen-Zangakatun highway, the Jermuk intersection with Kapan, and the Jujevan-Voskepar-Baganis highway, as well as the Meghri and Vardenyats mountain passes, are closed to vehicles with trailers.
The section of the M3 highway passing through Aparan and the turns in Spitak are impassable for vehicles with trailers. The Gndevaz-Jermuk highway is closed to all types of vehicles.
The source notes that snow is currently falling in the cities of Abovyan, Hrazdan, Sevan, Gavar, Martuni, Chambarak, Dilijan, Ijevan, Noyemberyan, Tashir, Ashtarak, Aparan, Aragats, Spitak, Vanadzor, Stepanavan, Ararat, Yeghegnadzor, Vayk, Sisian, Goris, Kapan, Meghri, Talin, Ani, Artik, Akhuryan, Ashotsk, Echmiadzin, and Baghramyan.
