According to the State News Agency of Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev announced this during a press statement with US Vice President James Vance.
He also emphasized that the TRIPP project is one of the most important results and a key manifestation of the Trump-Vance administration's efforts in the South Caucasus. Aliyev noted that the Trump Route will become a major transportation corridor with a high degree of reliability and security. "It will connect Asia with Europe through the territories of Azerbaijan and Armenia, and other neighboring countries," the Azerbaijani leader said, emphasizing that the project as a whole will contribute to strengthening peace in the region. He also said that Azerbaijan had not only lifted all restrictions on the transit of goods through Azerbaijan to Armenia, but had also begun exporting petroleum products to Armenia. "This, in essence, signifies the beginning of trade and cooperation," Aliyev noted.
