ArmInfo. U.S. President Donald Trump stated during the National Prayer Breakfast that he ended eight wars "such as Cambodia and Thailand, Kosovo and Serbia, Pakistan and India, Israel and Iran, Armenia and Azerbaijan."
According to Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin was surprised at how he managed to resolve the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia, something the Kremlin leader said he had worked on for ten years.
"Vladimir Putin called me: He said, 'I cant's believe you settled that one. They were going on for 35 years.' I settle [it] in one day. President Putin called me, he said 'You know I can't believe I worked on that war for ten years, trying to settle, I could not do it.'," Donald Trump said.
"I got it done. Two really good leaders (referring to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev - ed.). All they knew was fighting each other. They were fighting each other for many years. That's all they knew. And we got it worked out pretty quickly," the US president added.
