ArmInfo. "Let's hope for understanding and humanity from those making such decisions," Armenian and Russian footballer, Zenit and Dynamo legend, and goalkeeping coach of the Armenian national team Roman Berezovsky said at a press conference in Yerevan in response to an ArmInfo correspondent's request to comment on the Football Federation of Armenia's negative stance on the initiative to rename a street in the capital in honor of legendary footballer and coach Nikita Simonyan.
"Nikita Simonyan is a legendary figure who will forever remain in our hearts, regardless of the decisions made. I hope for support in this matter, as these are bureaucratic matters rather than personal ones," Berezovsky emphasized.
It's worth noting that, according to circulating information, the Football Federation of Armenia has opposed the initiative to rename a street in Yerevan in honor of Nikita Simonyan. The author of this draft proposal is Manuk Sukiasyan, head of the Mother Armenia opposition faction in the Yerevan Council of Elders.
