


ArmInfo. On September 21, 2026, the History Museum of Armenia will open an exhibition dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the founding of "Museum Island" - a unique ensemble of five world-renowned museums on the Spree River in Germany.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport (MEKS) of Armenia, the decision to hold the exhibition was made following the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the History Museum of Armenia and the Berlin Museum of Prehistory and Early History. Notably, some exhibits will be on display at the exhibition for the first time.
As part of this collaboration, an exhibition in Berlin is also planned for 2027, featuring exhibits from the History Museum of Armenia for the first time.
According to the source, the collaboration between the museums began in 2021 with the support of the MESKS and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Armenia.
It's worth noting that "Museum Island" is a complex of five museums located on the Spreeinsel island in central Berlin. It includes the Bode Museum, the Pergamon Museum, the Neues Museum, the Altes Museum, and the Alte Nationalgalerie.
