


ArmInfo. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called the "bold steps" taken by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and the "firm will" demonstrated by Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan extremely important for establishing lasting peace in the South Caucasus.
"I warmly congratulate the President of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and the Prime Minister of Armenia, Mr. Nikol Pashinyan, who have been awarded this year's prizes. I would like to especially emphasize that I consider the bold steps taken by my brother, Ilham Aliyev, and the strong will demonstrated by Mr. Pashinyan to be extremely important for establishing lasting peace. I believe that with the entry into force of this agreement, the purpose, scope, content, and spirit of which have been agreed upon by both sides, a new page will open in the future of the Caucasus," Erdogan said in a congratulatory video message to the laureates of the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity.
He also emphasized that Turkey sincerely supports all initiatives aimed at peace, prosperity, and stability in the South Caucasus region and throughout the world. "We will continue to do everything in our power to establish lasting peace in the Caucasus and actively work to build bridges of friendship based on justice," Erdogan said, as quoted by APA.
