Trump on Putin: He kept his promise

ArmInfo. US President Donald Trump stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin kept his promise to him not to strike Ukraine's energy sector for a week.

"That was Sunday after Sunday. It [the pause] ended, and then Putin launched a strong strike. Putin kept his word. That's a long time. One week is a long time, and we're willing to accept anything, because it's really, really cold there," Trump said, responding to a reporter's question at the White House.

When asked whether he would ask Putin to extend the pause in strikes on Ukraine's energy sector, Trump said, "I'd like to end the war."
