Armenia`s Interior Ministry suspends officer after brutal  interrogation footage surfaces

ArmInfo.  The Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has officially responded to video footage circulating across Armenian social media, which depicts a law  enforcement officer beating a citizen during an interrogation.

"In connection with the video circulating online and featuring a  police officer, I would like to inform you that the Department of  Internal Security and Anti-Corruption at the Ministry of Internal  Affairs has launched an internal investigation, and the powers of the  officer captured in the video has been suspended.  A report has been  drawn up regarding the crime," RA MIA Press Secretary Narek Sargsyan  reported on his Facebook page.

 It's worth noting that the footage was originally published by  journalist Suzi Badoyan on her Facebook page  and  quickly went viral  on Armenian social media.
