


ArmInfo.On February 2, the experts from the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Dinara Dildabekova, Ajla van Heel Merdanovic and Laura Simonyan visited the parliament to carry out a national assessment of gender policy in Armenia.
The experts met with the deputies of the RA NA With Honor Faction Anna Mkrtchyan and Taguhi Tovmasyan.
Welcoming the guests in the parliament, the opposition deputies thanked them for giving an opportunity for discussion.
The experts are in Armenia at the official invitation of the Government of the Republic of Armenia. As Dinara Dildabekova presented, a number of meetings are scheduled with stakeholders: representatives of the Government, political and opposition parties, civil society and legislators. The goal is to record the diverse experience and views of the discussion participants. As a result, the experts will present relevant reports and recommendations.
During the discussion a reference was to the women's participation in the political life of the Republic of Armenia, the existing problems and challenges.
