Five athletes to represent Armenia at 2026 Winter Olympics

ArmInfo.  Five Armenian athletes will participate in the 25th Winter Olympics, which will be held in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo from February 6 to 22. This was reported by the press service of the RA Ministry of Education,  Science, Culture, and Sports.

According to the source, Armenia will be represented by skiers Mikael  Mikaelyan and Katya Galstyan, alpine skier Harutyun Harutyunyan, and  the figure skating pair Karina Akopova and Nikita Rahmani. The pair  will bear Armenia's flag at the official opening ceremony. They have  won the first Olympic berth in pairs figure skating since Armenia's  independence. A total of 116 medal events will be contested at the  25th Winter Olympic Games. Competitions will be held in 16 sports.
