ArmInfo. As part of the Russian EMERCOM delegation's visit to Armenia, led by Deputy Minister Vyacheslav Butko, Russian Ambassador Sergey Kopyrkin familiarized himself with the work of the Russian-Armenian Center of Humanitarian Response (RACHR).
The Russian delegation watched as rescuers from the two countries participated in joint exercises, focused on responding to accidents at chemically hazardous sites and oil industry facilities, as well as evacuating victims, using specialized machinery and equipment. Experts from Russia and Armenia commended the Center's staff qualifications, the training system, and the logistical support for successfully honing the practical skills of firefighters and rescuers.
"I am impressed by the Center's unique infrastructure. It has all the necessary conditions in place for the training and professional development of rescuers and medical personnel to respond effectively in various situations," the Ambassador noted.
The RACHR was established in 2015 to provide humanitarian assistance during emergencies in Armenia and other countries. To date, the Center has successfully carried out several humanitarian aid and emergency response operations in Armenia, Syria, and Iran.
