
ArmInfo. Modern challenges require coordinated actions from the rescue services of Armenia and Russia to protect the population, prevent emergencies, and provide humanitarian aid. This was stated by Aram Ghazaryan, Director of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, at a meeting with a delegation led by Vyacheslav Butko, Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies, and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, during the meeting, the Deputy Minister expressed gratitude for the joint work and emphasized the importance of the Russian-Armenian Humanitarian Response Center. He noted that over the past ten years, the Center has successfully accomplished its tasks, demonstrating responsibility and a commitment to rapid response. He also assured that the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs is ready to continue its efforts to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
In turn, Butko, speaking about the importance of direct dialogue with the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs' rescue service, emphasized that the Russian-Armenian Humanitarian Response Center plays a key role in bilateral cooperation, having proven itself to be an effective and in-demand platform. In this regard, during the meeting, the Center's Director, Alexey Butyrsky, presented plans for 2025 and work priorities for the current year.
During the meeting, the parties also reaffirmed their commitment to ongoing cooperation, particularly in the context of capacity development and exchange of experience.
