In 2025, defense spending in Azerbaijan increased by almost 23%

ArmInfo. In 2025, the Azerbaijani government allocated 8.068 billion manat ($4.74 billion at the current exchange rate) from the state budget, a 22.9% increase compared to 2024.

According to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Finance, the execution rate for this budget item in 2025 was 96.1%.

The ministry indicates that defense and national security expenditures accounted for 20.9% of actual state budget expenditures for 2025. (INTERFAX)
