ArmInfo. The state-the developed, strong, secure, prosperous, and happy Republic of Armenia-is the most visible monument that most meaningfully perpetuates the memory of heroes. This is stated in Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's message, dedicated to Remembrance Day for servicemen who fell in all conflicts.
As a reminder, several days ago, the National Assembly of Armenia passed a law declaring January 27 Remembrance Day for those who fell for the Motherland. Today, Pashinyan visited the Yerablur military pantheon and, surrounded by numerous security personnel, laid flowers. Prior to his arrival, a large number of Police Guard officers had arrived at Yerablur since early morning.
According to Pashinyan, the memory of the fallen should not be limited to dates and ceremonies alone.
"After the disasters that have befallen us, every day, every single day of God, the government and the parliamentary majority strive to find an answer to a very important question: what must be done, and how, so that the sacrifices of our martyrs are life- giving, not destructive.
This question has been answered clearly and unequivocally: our martyrs fell so that the Republic of Armenia could rise," his message reads.
According to him, today the authorities are focused on strengthening statehood and its institutions, transforming the state into an effective instrument of security and well-being for citizens, strengthening the independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and inviolability of our country's borders, and the continuous development of our national army.
"Dear brothers and sisters, you did not die in vain. Your sacrifice gave birth to a new consciousness, your sacrifice opened our eyes, clarified our minds, and strengthened our will to strengthen our state, to build a state-oriented path that is the path to prosperity, security, happiness, and peace for the Republic of Armenia and its citizens.
Through tears, we smile at you and kneel before you. Long live the Republic of Armenia!" the Prime Minister's message reads.
