Israeli, Azerbaijani FMs discuss developments in South Caucasus

ArmInfo. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar congratulated Azerbaijan on the progress in normalizing relations with Armenia, achieved with the mediation of US President Donald Trump.

According to Report, during a joint press conference with Azerbaijani  Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in Baku, the Israeli Foreign  Minister emphasized that the achieved results were made possible by  the balanced domestic and foreign policies of Azerbaijani President  Ilham Aliyev. According to him, "without President Ilham Aliyev's  wise policies, there would be no peace in the region." Saar also  noted that Azerbaijan's development and prosperity are visible to the  naked eye. 

In turn, Bayramov told he had briefed his Israeli counterpart on the  ongoing process of normalizing relations with Armenia, as well as the  agreements reached at the historic Washington summit.  He also stated  that he had exchanged views with Sa'ar on restoration efforts in  liberated territories, the return of displaced persons, and the  ongoing threat posed by landmines.
