ArmInfo. The court has extended the pretrial detention of Bishop Mkrtich Proshyan, Primate of the Aragatsotn Diocese, by one month. Additionally, the judge has lifted all restrictions on the bishop, including visitation. Previously, he was only allowed to see his mother.
In turn, the defense considered the prosecutor's arguments unfounded. According to lawyer Ara Zohrabyan, all so-called victims have been defrocked, and the bishop has no authority to dictate anything to them. Moreover, they essentially refuse to obey the decisions of the Catholicos of All Armenians, Karekin II, so the bishop's freedom will not change anything.
