


ArmInfo. The French Embassy in Baku drew parallels between the ongoing normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the post-war steps of Germany and France.
"On January 22, 1963, the Elysee Treaty was signed between Germany and France. This document became a historic turning point on the path to reconciliation and peace in Europe, and its influence continues to bear fruit today," the French Embassy in Baku tweeted (X).
The diplomatic mission added that the first steps toward peace were also taken between Azerbaijan and Armenia. "Every step is valuable and inspires hope for the future," the tweet continued.
The diplomatic mission added that the path to reconciliation is not short-sometimes it is just as long and requires patience-but the Elysee Treaty demonstrates that reconciliation is possible.
