Armenian Deputy FM meets with Italian MPs

ArmInfo. Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan met with Giulio Centemero, head of the Italy-Armenia Friendship Group of the Chamber of Deputies of Italy, and Piero Fassino, a member of this group and PACE rapporteur on Armenia.

According to the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the  parties expressed satisfaction with the recent effective cooperation  between the parliaments of Armenia and Italy. The importance of  interparliamentary cooperation in developing and strengthening  bilateral ties was emphasized.

During the meeting, strategic issues of the Armenia-EU partnership  were also discussed. Kostanyan briefed his interlocutors on  developments in the South Caucasus, as well as Armenia's foreign  policy priorities in the context of a peaceful settlement in the  region. An exchange of views took place on new opportunities that are  expected to emerge as a result of the implementation of programs  aimed at developing regional connectivity, including the TRIPP  project.
