


ArmInfo. During his visit to Switzerland, Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan visited one of the world's leading scientific centers, the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), where he met with Armenian teachers undergoing retraining in 2026.
According to the press service of the Armenian President, during the visit, the President toured the center's laboratory complexes, learned about the applied and scientific research work being carried out, and learned about the international scientific and educational programs implemented at CERN.
According to the source, since 1998, CERN has been implementing an international teacher training program aimed at improving the quality of teaching physics and related natural sciences. As part of this initiative, CERN also runs a separate program for Armenian teachers, who will undergo retraining for the first time in 2024. During the discussion, teachers from Armenia described their participation in the program, shared their professional experience, and discussed the potential for its application in the Armenian education system. Khachaturyan emphasized the importance of continuing such initiatives, noting the key role of international cooperation in the development of education and science.
