


ArmInfo. Russian President Vladimir Putin held phone talks with his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
According to the Kremlin press service, during the conversation, Pezeshkian informed Putin of the Iranian leadership's active efforts to normalize the situation in the country. It was noted that Russia and Iran consistently support a rapid de-escalation of tensions around Iran and in the region as a whole, and resolve emerging issues exclusively through political and diplomatic means. The two sides reaffirmed their mutual commitment to further strengthening the Russian-Iranian strategic partnership and the practical implementation of joint economic projects in various fields.
It was also reported that this conversation was preceded by a conversation between Putin and Netanyahu. "The leaders discussed the state of affairs in the Middle East and the situation surrounding Iran. Vladimir Putin outlined his fundamental stance in favor of stepping up political and diplomatic efforts to ensure stability and security in the region. The Russian side confirmed its willingness to continue making mediation efforts and promote constructive dialogue involving all interested states. It was agreed to maintain contacts at various levels," the Kremlin noted.
