ArmInfo. The period from January 19 to 25 is the most likely window for a possible US strike on Iran, according to Turkish Middle East expert Mete Sokhtaoglu.
"January 19-25, along with the deployment of aircraft carriers, is the precise date for an attack on Iran," the pro-government television channel A Haber quotes the expert as saying.
Explaining his position, Sokhtaoglu noted that he believes US President Trump is using deceptive tactics, combining statements about reducing tensions with preparations for a military scenario. According to the expert, Tehran's steps aimed at de-escalation, including military measures within the country, could create the illusion of stabilization, while actual preparations for a strike are being conducted in parallel and covertly. The analyst linked the possible timing of the attack to the redeployment of American carrier groups in the region and added that the main targets could be the headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Basij militia.
